House, 1678. Slobbered rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys with,attics.
Windows mainly 6-pane sashes with plain reveals. Main, possibly earliest,
part of house of 3 bays; having paired sashed windows on the ground floor
at the right. Part of a drip course remains over the ground floor, rising
over a central doorway with moulded surround and battlemented lintel
inscribed: 'GME 1678'. Towards the right are 2 bays, with a small window
with plain reveals further right on the 1st floor. Chimneys on gables and
to right of 3rd bay. In the left-hand gable are 3 2-light mullioned
windows, one lighting the attic. Inside, the room entered from the front
door has 2 chamfered and stopped axial main joists resting on a cruck
blade re-used as a firehood bressumer. The left-hand room has a fireplace
opening with splayed rubble sides and rough stone arch.
