Town End Farmhouse

Farm building, possibly a granary and stables, with C17th dressings.
Sandstone rubble with asbestos roof. 2 storeys. North wall, facing the
road, is blank. South wall has 3 doorways. The left-hand one has plain
reveals, the others have chamfered surrounds. The right-hand doorway has
masons' marks and is now partly blocked. On the 1st floor is a one-light
chamfered window to the left and at the far right is a one-light window
using C17th fragments. The left-hand (west) gable has a chamfered door
surround on the 1st floor reached by a flight of external stone steps. The
east gable is now partly incorporated into a later barn.
