House, 1610 with later alterations. Sandstone rubble with slate roof. 2
storeys. Main part of house appears to be altered or rebuilt and is of 3
bays which have modern windows with plain reveals. Door, in left-hand bay,
has plain reveals. At the left is a cross-wing which has a mullioned
ground-floor window, hollow-chamfered and chamfered with hood. On the 1st
floor is a reconstructed window with plain reveals and central mullion. To
the right, between storeys, is a one-light chamfered former stair window.
Chimney on left-hand wall of cross-wing has projecting stack. Other
chimneys to right of 2nd bay and on right-hand gable. Inside, the
cross-wing has a chamfered fireplace with 'EC 1610' inscribed on the
lintel, chamfered and stopped ceiling joists, and a timber-framed wall
with original doorway.
