House, 1709. Cobble, with walls later raised in brick and with brick chimneys.
3-unit lobby-entry plan. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Windows have plain reveals and
projecting sills, those in the ground floor having segmental heads. All have
horizontal sliding sashes. The door, under a glazed porch, is between bays
2 and 3 and has a rendered surround with a plaque over inscribed 'TBA 1709'.
Chimneys on left-hand gable and in line with door. Interior. Middle room
has hearth with firehood bressumer which is ovolo moulded with stepped run-out
stops. The 2 axial main ceiling joists are similarly moulded. At the rear of
the hearth, now inaccessible behind a later cupboard, there is said to be a
spice cupboard door inscribed 'TBA 1710'.
