surrounds and stone slate roof. Three storeys, two windows each, Nos 3 and 4
originally a pair with No 5 added soon after. All windows modern but in the
original openings, graduated in size through each floor. Modern ground floor lean-
to to No 4 otherwise complete front and back. Coped gables with kneelers, ridge
stacks. Interior: Nos 3 and 4 originally had a joint top floor loom shop (now
divided). Unusual roof truss to increase usable floor area visible in No 3. Queen
posts on tie in floor, V strut on collar. A good example of weavers' cottages of
a type unusual in the area.
