GV II

House, probably mid C17, added to in C19 to make former school in parallel
range behind. Gable end onto street. Coursed squared rubble throughout.
C17 building is a 5 window range (3-unit plan), 2 storeys with attics,
with 3 & 2-light casement windows, all with chamfered wood lintels with
ornate stops. 3 hipped gabled dormers above. Coped gables and large
stepped stones to gable. Tall canted bay window with ovolo moulded
mullions in gable wall. C19 range to rear has coped gable to left
containing a large 3-light window with cambered head to ground floor.
Central ridge has doorway and 2 flanking small lights to hall, and dormer
window above. To the right, a further gable with canted bay window
and top-light opening window beneath a small roof projecting on brackets.
Casement window in gable above. Street gable has early C20 bay window,
coping and finial.
