Range of farm buildings. C17, C18 and C19. Timber-framed, weatherboarded or with brick
infilling, partly on sandstone plinth, and red brick. Clay plain tile roofs with gabled ends. PLAN:
T-shaped on plan. The timber-framed east range is of two builds; the east end a 5-bay barn with a
central threshing bay and the west end is of 4 bays with a cartway through the westernmost bay. The
timber-framed north west range is now stables; this range continues to the south west where it is a
C19 barn and stables. EXTERIOR: The timber-framed east range has a sandstone plinth, full-height
double-doors and cartway through at west end at junction with the west range. The timber-framed
north end of the west range is partly weatherboarded, brick-faced and has stable doors on its east side.
To the south west the range has full-height double-doors on its east side with stable door and
windows on either side; its truncated south end is weatherboarded. INTERIOR: The 5-bay barn
to the east has jowled posts, queen-strut trusses, wind-braces and tenoned purlins; the west end of
the east range has 4-bay roof with tie-beam and collar trusses with posts and struts. The north west
range has a queen-post roof.
