A C18 house of brown brick. Originally 2 cottages, later reconstructed
into 1 house. A 1-storey studio added in recent years. The main building
is of 2 storeys. 4 sash windows with flat arches and cills. Door with
architrave, pulvinated frieze and cornice hood. String course above ground
and 1st floor storeys; parapet; old tile roof. The house was the residence
and studio, from 1901 until his death in 1944, of Lucien Pissarro, the
artist of the French Impressionist school.
