Country House. Dated 1843 on rainwater head. Yellow brick with stone dressings,
and low pitched slate roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays, the central 3 advanced, emphasised
by angle quoins. Central doorway within large pedimented porch with squared
and cylindrical Tuscan columns with marked entasis on high bases. Flanking
windows are 12-light sashes with fine astragals, in stone architraves with
bolection moulded entablatures. Upper windows also in stone architraves.
Angle quoins, sill band and moulded cornice. Axial stone stacks. Lower 2-storey
former squash court to left with blind painted windows. Garden front of 6
bays, ironstone with limestone ashlar dressings. Floor length sash windows
with stone architraves, and bolection moulded entablatures to lower openings.
