Cottage, formerly inn and 2 cottages. Late C16/C17, raised slightly later.
Cruck-framed coursed rubble stone and C20 shingle roof with rebuilt buff brick
end stacks. 3 ranges, 2 are 2 storeys and gable facing, the former 2 cottages
in front of former inn, with 1½ storey wing projecting right at joint of 2
ranges. Front faces right, but with plank door in wing facing road. Front
of former 2 cottages of 2 storeys of 2 3-light casements over 2-light, 4-light
2-light. Blank facing gable. Attic 1-light on right end of wing. Former inn
behind is 2 storeys of 3 2-light casements over 2 2-lights and to right, glazed
door within glazed porch. 1 storey C20 extension on right end of this range.
Further 2-light casements and glazed door to rear. Inside are 3 pairs of raised
cruck blades visible to the collars, tree trunk purlin in former cottages,
2 inglenooks, and possibly original plank doors. Formerly the Plough Inn.
