Gates and walls at the
Manor House

GV II

Gates and walls. Early C19. White brick and coursed limestone rubble with
ashlar dressings. A pair of wooden, segment topped gates, with square white
brick gate piers topped with ahlar ball finials, either side curved brick
walls to further single square gate piers topped with ball finials. Extend-
ing to south a 15 m brick wall with ahlar coping, beyond between 2 square
brick piers with ball finials a low brick wall with ornate cast iron rail-
ings. Beyond again a coursed rubble wall, 3 m high which curves around the
corner and runs east for 120 m with a small brick and ashlar segment headed
doorway with plank door, this section of wall has pantile coping. Included
