School formerly small country house. 1707, remodelled 1821. Coursed rubble
and brick. Shallow pitched, hipped slate roof. 8, C19 white brick stacks.
Quoins and decorated brick eaves. 2 storey, 3 bay coursed rubble centre with
small single bay brick projections topped with pyramidal roofs. Flanked by
much larger single bay coursed rubble wings. The centre has glazed double doors,
flanked by a single glazing bar sash on the left and by a half-glazed door on
the right. In front is a 3 bay doric colonnade supporting a glazed roof. The
advanced brick bays have a single narrow glazing bar sash to each floor. The
outer wings are terminated by large 2 storey canted bay windows, each with 3
glazing bar sashes. All the windows have flat rendered lintels. Various C18
fireplaces remain inside.
