Probably early C18. Pair of houses, much altered but originally with entrance
to alley between them. 3 storeys plus slated mansard. Each 2 bays wide. Shops
inserted at ground floor. The original plan form with 1 room on each floor and
a newel stair at the rear is preserved in the upper storeys. No 19, painted brick
with segment-headed sash windows. No 20 with stucco facade and surround to sash
windows.
