Semi-detached villas. c1830-40 Portland Estate St John's Wood villa
development. Stucco; slate roof. Italianate-Grecian. 2 storeys on
semi-basement. Each 2 windows wide with outer entrance bays slightly recessed
and central party wall recess. Pilastered porches approached by steps. Recessed
margin glazed sashes to ground and 1st floors in architrave surrounds; glazing
bar sashes beneath eaves. Sill bands to each floor and cornice over 1st floor.
Flat bracketed eaves to hipped roof. Flanking corniced chimney stacks. Cast
iron geometric window guards to ground floor. Similar villa type to the
adjoining Eyre Estate.
