Mews building. c.1775-76 (altered) by James Adam associated with No. 19
Portland Place q.v. Stock brick with stuccoed "polite" east front
vis-a-vis rear of Portland Place house; slate roof. 2 storeys, basement
and dormered mansard. Altered front to mews of 3 windows with brick
toothed cornice and parapet. East front 3 windows wide. Ground floor
treated as arcade with blind semicircular arches, their imposts extended
into frieze with fluting and rosette enrichments. 1st floor windows set
in wider recesses with recessed sashes flanked by relief panels. Cornice
and parapet.
