1880-82, architect J W Beaumont. Formerly Pendlebury Memorial Hall and Orphanage.
Large red brick building on an excellent site. Centre tower with cupolas.
Ashlar dressings. Front elevation has oriel with carved stone base over centre
doorway with mark terminals and carved spandrels. To left and right, sections
of 2 storeys with 4 windows of 4 and 6 lights. Ground floor has 5-sided bays
with mulllions and transoms in stone. Flight of steps to double door. Slate
roof.
