Farmhouse. First half of C17, with C19 alterations. Timber
framed. Ground floor clad with painted brick. First floor of
main range weatherboarded, first floor of left wing tile-hung.
Plain tile roof. 3 timber-framed bays, with short C19 two-
storeyed wing projecting forwards from left end bay. 2 storeys
on stone plinth. Roof has slightly lower ridge to right of
stack. Brick ridge stack to left end of right bay, with smaller
flue in lean-to behind. Irregular fenestration of 3 casements;
one 2-light to C19 wing, and two 3-light to main range.
Boarded door in C19 painted brick lean-to against junction with
C19 wing. Rear lean-to to right bay only. 2-storey extension
of 1980s to rear excluded. Interior: exposed framing. Cut
jowls. Ogee chamfer-stops to beams. Mortices for frieze
window of at least 4 lights with moulded and subsidiary mullions
to rear wall of central ground floor room. Inglenook fireplace
to central room. Broad fireplace straddling right end bay and
lean-to with chamfered stone jambs with vase stops. Clasped
purlin roof with diminishing principal rafters, curved wind-
braces, queen-struts to collars, and intermediate collars.
Right bay of roof rebuilt in late C18 or C19.
