Public house. 1741 on door lintel but with later alterations
and additions. Hammer-dressed stone with slate (public
house) and graduated stone slate (barn) roofs. Single-depth
plan with 2 bays and 2 storeys but with 1 bay added to each
end in later C18 and a barn to left in C19. The earlier
part has a central door with square-cut surround and
keystone lintel flanked by 2-light windows on the ground
floor (formerly 3-light) and 3-light on the first floor all
with double-chamfered stone mullions. Quoins to right. The
bay added to right has similar windows (altered on ground
floor) and a wing to rear. Bay to left with 6-pane sash
window on each floor. Barn with segmental-arched cart entry,
door to left and round openings on first floor. Brick
additions to rear.
