Dock office. 1846-7 by Philip Hardwick, top storey by Jesse Hartley 1848. Brick with stone dressings. 3 storeys with basement, 5 x 7 bays. Windows have gauged brick flat arches and are sashed with glazing bars. Tetrastyle Tuscan portico with frieze, entablature and pediment (a 36 ft long architrave of a single casting) all of iron with a brick tympanum. Cornice; 4 windows to attic, stone parapet, paired battered stacks have connecting arches.
