Detached house divided into three dwellings. Circa 1660. Flemish
bond brick, tiled roof, brick stacks to rear and to left. 2-
storey, 7-bay symmetrical front. Central door with 6 fielded
panels in moulded stone architrave, either side are three stone
cross windows with flat-arched heads and moulded string course at
lintel level. First floor has central blocked oculus and three
cross windows either side. Wooden modillioned eaves cornice.
Right return wall has all-over lozenge diapering, 2-brick plat
band, latticed casement to attic. Rear has central gabled stair
turret with 2-light casements, lateral stack with tumbling-in to
left, outshut and 2-storey wing to rear with 2-light casements.
Interior not accessible at time of survey (January 1985), but said
to have mostly C19 fittings, C18 stairs with stout newels with ogee
finial on first floor, Tudor-arched opening to entrance hall. The
house is said to have been divided into four tenements since C17,
with the front entrance opening onto parish rooms. (Unpublished
