Late C17 house, rebuilt in 1848 with stone from the east and west wings of Wakehurst
Place which were then shortened by two-thirds. Two storeys and atria. Five windows.
Two hipped dormers. Ashlar. Half-hipped tiled roof. Casement windows with stone
lions and transoms. Centre window bay projects with a gable over, surmounted by
finials at apex and angles. Projecting still farther is a similarly gabled porch
containing a 4-centred archway. Modern red brick parallel wing to east.
