Formerly Tanning House.
Mid to late C19. 2 storeys. 9 windows. Weather-boarding on a timber frame.
Hipped slate roof with red ridge-tiles. Wooden beams under eaves on south side
supported by 8 cast-iron columns, said to have come from old Smithfield Market
in London, around 1900. The columns have moulded capitals at 1st floor sill level.
Openings on upper floor are grouped into fours. Round-headed. Some boarded-up,
others with wooden louvre slats. Variety of windows on ground floor. Tie-beam
roof with central vertical timbers rising to ridge-beams. Braces to roof and
tie-beams. Modern brick lean-to addition at south end.
