Range of houses and shops of about 1900, prominently situated. Three storeys
and attic. One narrow window and one bay of three windows to each house.
Tile hung. Tiled roofs. The range is built in two blocks on each side of
a twitten. The most prominent feature comprises 10 gables with scalloped
bargeboards projecting on brackets with pendants. Beneath these on the
first and second floors are bay windows with an enriched frieze of imitation
pargetting or strapwork between the first and second floors. The upper
halves of the windows have glazing bars, the lower plate glass. Shop fronts
on the ground floor, most of them original.
