Winston Grange
II
Former vicarage, 1843-4 by S.S. Teulon. In the Tudor style. Red brick with
prominent parapet gables, some with crowstepping. Plaintiled roofs; chimneys
of red brick with clusters of detached square flues with various ornamental
details near the bases. Windows with square splayed heads, hoodmoulded:
wooden subframes with prominent mullions and narrow sliding sashes. Parapet
gabled plaintiled entrance porch with arched doorway and a pair of glazed
doors. An attached low single-storey service range to left is approached
through a Tudor-arched gateway in a screen wall; the range is integral and
contributes to the architectural quality of the building.
