House, probably C16; at one time subdivided into 2 cottages. 2 storeys. 3-
cell plan; extended northwards in C17 or C18. Timber-framed and plastered.
Thatched roof, hipped at south end. One C16 or early C17 axial chimney of red
brick, another of C19; an end chimney also of C19, C19 and C20 casements and
various boarded entrance doors. Framing mainly concealed, but alterations in
progress at date of survey; some studwork has evidence for unglazed windows.
The attached C19 cottages to north, Nos. 1 & 2 Ropers Row, are not of special
interest.
