House, latterly with a shop, 1745, date on rear wall; extended c.1800 and
C19. Red brick with timber framed wall and additions to rear, colourwashed
and plastered. Steeply pitched plaintiled roof. 5 bays. 2 storeys.
Entrance to right of centre, steps up to a recessed half glazed door with a
projecting hood, formerly had a second entrance to left of centre. 12 pane
C20 pseudo-sash casements in shallow reveals, ground floor segmental heads,
blind window over entrance. Plinth, plat band, boxed eaves. Left end internal
axial stack. Gable end double plat bands, coped parapets with kneelers to
rear. 1 bay 1 storey and attic addition to rear left has scattered casements,
an internal axial stack, a further bay added to rear. To rear right a lean-to
addition with a glazing bar casement. Interior: under lean-to addition
original rear wall has panelled pargetting and date 1745 in glass, ogee stop
chamfered cross axial binding beams, runout chamfered joists, butt purlin
roof.
