A timber-framed house of different dates, the east part is of the C16
and the west part C17. Formerly the front was plastered with C17 pargetting
but the house was renovated in the C20 when the timber-framing was exposed,
to reveal the 2 periods of the structure. The upper storey is jettied
on the whole front. At the east end there are exposed joists and the
remains of moulded capitals and shafts. 2 storeys. 2 window range.
Casement windows with leaded lights. There are also some small original
window openings (restored). Boarded and nailed doors (C20 restoration).
Roof tiled, with a central chimney stack with grouped diagonal shafts
(rebuilt).
