A C16-C17 timber-framed and plastered house with a cross wing at the west
end which has a modern date panel with the date 1610. The house was considerably
altered in the C18 and later. The cross wing has 2 storeys and attics
and is jettied on the upper storey. The main block is 1 storey and attics
on the north side and 2 storeys on the south. The windows generally axe
double-hung sashes with glazing bars but on the north front there is 1
leaded casement. On the south side a small projection is built into the
angle of the main block and the cross wing. Roof tiled, with a large
gabled dormer on the north front. The main block has a fine original
chimney stack with 3 grouped octagonal shafts with spurred caps and moulded
bases. The cross wing has a restored stack with 4 grouped octagonal shafts
with moulded caps and bases.
