A C18 red brick square dovecote with a raised brick band dividing the
elevations horizontally. On the east side there are 3 small high level
casement windows and a central doorway. Roof tiled, pyramid in form with
a cornice moulded platform at the apex, surmounted by an open cupola with
a small "Diocletian" access opening on each side. The dovecote is said
to be the largest in Suffolk and has approximately 144 brick built nesting
boxes on each wall and an access ladder which revolves on a central post,
still in perfect working order.
