LAVENHAM
CHURCH STREET (north-west side)
No 91

23.1.58

GV
II*
A C16 timber-framed and plastered building with a cross wing at the north-east end jettied on the upper storey. Roof tiled. Renovated. Two storeys. Three window range of modern casements with glazing bars. The ground storey has two shallow splayed bays.

The house is sometimes known as Chimney House because of the large red brick external chimney stack with tabled offsets on the north-east side. It has a passageway around it on the ground storey and a single-storey lean-to addition with a tiled roof extends across the north-east side. It has been restored and window interior features were discovered during restoration.
