A C17 timber-framed and plastered building erected over the remains of
a large C16 red brick building and incorporating parts of it. It is
said to have been originally part of a Priory house built by Catherine
of Aragon. A cross wing at the south-east end has a jettied upper storey.
Roof tiled. The south-east front has a C16 ground storey brick wall
with the remains of an octagonal pier at each-end and an entrance doorway
with small octagonal. piers. The interior has a room with exposed timber-framing
and another with a Tudor plaster ceiling with roses and fleur-de-lis.
