A fine C15, and later, timber-framed building with exposed timber-framing
and plaster infill. Restored. Roof thatched, with a modern ridge chimney
stack and end stack. Two storeys and attics. The upper storey is jettied
on the whole of the west front on exposed joists and a fine carved bressumer
and curved brackets. The upper storey is also jettied at the south end.
There is an extension (unjettied) at the north end also with exposed
timber-framing. There are a number of original windows (restored) some
blocked at the north end. The windows generally are modern mullioned
and transomed metal casements with leaded lights. There is a moat on
the west and south sides.
