Farmhouse. C17, early and late C19, C20. Walls of red brickwork in English, Monk
and Stretcher bonds, small section of malmstone with brick dressings, small section
of exposed framing, tile-hanging of part of 1st floor, and all of two walls. Tile
roof with half-hip and rear catslide, and low-pitched hipped slate roof to cross-
wing. A three-bay timber frame of two storeys, with an early C19 cross-wing of
three storeys: the latter presents a south elevation once symmetrical of three
windows, but now with a full height angular bay of three bays at the west side: the
bay is of red brickwork and the remainder is tile-hung: sashes: a glazed projection
in the middle and east side contains an entrance within a porch and a French door
to a living room. The west elevation shows the older part, of two storeys three
windows, with tile-hung 1st floor above C17 brickwork; casements, a former brick
porch (now a window) being enclosed within a larger part-open C20 porch, having the
main entrance. Small C20 single-storeyed extension at the north end, of brick and
tile.
