SU 21 NE BRAMSHAW STOCKS CROSS GREEN

2/5 Consort Cottage

GV II

Cottage. Early/mid C19. Brick, some blue headers, old plain tile roof, timber
and tile verandah, 1½ storey, 3 bay with crosswing in front of one bay, and
verandah to others. Front has crosswing to RH. Other 2 bays have pent-roofed
(almost outshot) verandah on 4 timber posts. Under, between bays,segmental
head panelled door. Each side 2-light casement. Over each bay 2-light gabled
dormer. Crosswing has 2-light casement in architrave on both floors and wide,
raised 1st floor band. All windows are cast-iron lattice-paned casements. On
roof between LH bays and on junction of ridges, stack with 4-diamond shafts,
diagonally set.
