Barn. Circa late C16 or early C17. Weatherboarded timber-frame on tall dressed flint plinth with limestone and ironstone dressings. Clay plain tile roof with half-hipped ends and some early crested ridge tiles. PLAN: 7 -bay barn with two aisles and central threshing bay with later midstrey on the south side. Circa early C19 outshut on the west end. EXTERIOR: North side facing yard has full-height cart entrance at centre and later windows inserted on left.
South side has midstrey at centre with hipped roof Brick outshut on west end with slate hipped roof INTERIOR: Unusually complete frame of large scantling. Seven bays ai1d two aisles with arcade-posts with large cut jowls and straight braces to the arcade-plates and tie-beams; raking queen-struts to the collars; two tiers of in-line butt-purlins with straight wind-braces; common-rafter couples with ridge-piece; aisle-ties are unbraced. Wall-framing has studs, rails and tension-braces; the end walls have central wall-posts. Some threshing floor boards survive. Complete set of carpenters' marks survives.
