Small country house. Early C19. Brick, stuccoed, slate roof, brick stacks.
Square building with C20 extension to rear. 2 storey, 3 bay front with added
projecting single storey flat roofed porch with large 16-pane sash having small
side panes in raised timber surround. Behind original door opening with fan-
light, but later door. Door on side of porch. Each side 16-pane sash.
Above small 16-pane sashes with large 12-pane sash in centre. Coupled brackets
to small eaves fascia. Roof low pitched, wide hipped. Stacks on return ridge
at each side, brick with stone dressings to caps. House set on rising ground
above park, with terraced garden in front, stepped down to battlemented topiary
yew hedges. House lies W of site of C18 Harmsworth House.
