Originally White Hart Inn. Late C18. 3 storeys. White brick walls,
moulded sstone coping. Upper floors 4 windows. Two central windows enclosed
in llarge arch divided by central Ionic column with flanking half columns
and entablature set in arch. 2nd floor windows have wrought iron balconies.
Modern shop fronts. Sash windows with glazing bars. Parapet, roof not
visible.
The Old Market House, the Butter Cross and Nos 25 to 50 (consec) form
a group.
