Farmhouse, now private residence. C16 core, c1700 refronting, C18 altera-
tions, restored after serious fire 1971. Timber-frame core, brick, old
plain tile roof. 3 bay timber-frame, possibly with cross-wing, which became
front when buildings refronted c1700. Bay added to far end with parapeted
end wall C18. Front 2 storey on cellar, 5 irregular bays. Doorway approx.
central with top glazed C20 door in doorcase of engaged Doric columns, broken
entablature and open pediment with tympanum containing carved fan. Left bay
has external stack, in other bays 3 12-pane fluch-framed sashes. 1st floor
string and 3 irregularly placed 9-pane sashes. Brick dentil cornice and
parapet with stone coping. Roof behind hipped with stack on right hip.
Inside rebuilt after fire but at far end of hall behind door restored c1700
dog-leg staircase with turned balusters and moulded handrail and in room to
left of it large fireplace of squared stone, and a corner cupboard of c1700.
