House, once divided, now returned to one. Late C16/early C17 timber frame, with
early C19 cladding, mid C19 extension and late C19 renovation. Brick walls of
Flemish bond and Flemish Garden Wall bond, cambered ground-floor openings,
altered features, including tile or slate-covered framing, frame exposed in two
parts with brick infill, service wing with flintwork and brick dressings, rendered
outshot. Substantial timber-framed building of lobby-entrance type, possibly
originating as a hall with cross-wing; south west front elevation of two storeys
four above three windows. Casements. Mid C19 'Tudor' brick porch, also a side
entrance with a hipped slate canopy on posts and (reused) two-panelled C18 door.
Inside, there is a C17 partition wall of vertical oak panels, and several C18
panelled doors.
