GV II

Lychgate. 1893 given by Charlotte Yonge. Timber-frame on high dressed
stone plinth, old plain tile roof. Rectangular plan with pathway through
centre between 2 U-shaped walls, facing inwards with pair of gates hung from
walls on roadside and wooden benches fitted inside walls. On walls carved
timber screens between posts supporting gabled roof with carved bargeboards
and finial cross.
