Rectory now private residence. Mid-C19. Squared knapped flint with brick
dressings, slate roof. Asymmetrical building of 5 unequal bays with pro-
jecting wings to left and right central bays at front and wings to other
bays to rear. Front 2 storey, 5 unequal bays with wider bays for wings.
Gabled brick porch in centre bay with 2 order, 3-centre arch with carved
bargeboards over and inside heavy planked doors with strap hinges. To left
2-light steel casement in original opening with hood mould, and in right bay
similar window with original 2-light round-headed leaded lozenge pane case-
ment. On 1st floor in these bays on corbelled brick sill similar round-
headed 2-light casements with heads in gabled dormers with carved bargeboards
supported on carved brackets. Left projecting wing except for external
stack and carved bargeboards. Other wing has canted hip-roofed bay with
steel windows, 3-light steel window in original opening with hood mould over
and pointed opening in gable and carved bargeboards. To right of each wing
on main roof chimney with 4 octagonal shafts and end of left wing 2 octagonal
shafts with more shafts to chimneys on rear wings.
