House and attached barn converted to one residence. C15 & C16, altered
C19, restored 1983. Timber-frame with brick infill, old plain tile roof.
and weatherboarded timber-frame barn, partly rebuilt in brick with brick
additions. 3 bay, 1½ storey barn part along road with 2 bay, 2 storey
cross-wing at left end, probably originally 3 bay C15 house with added C16
cross-wing. Road elevation has C20 brick plinth wall to main barn part,
weatherboarded with a small C20 1 & 2-light casement and 3 velux windows in
hipped roof. Cross-wing has exposed timber-frame with brick infill with
jettied 1st floor. On ground floor early C19 2-light cast-iron lozenge pane
casement with Victorian letter box beside in brick pier. On 1st floor C19
oriel window with carved finials to brackets, hipped roof and 3 similar cast-
iron casements. Tile-hung gable with small casement and carved bargeboards.
Left side of cross-wing similar with C19 full height projecting porch with
ornate bargeboards, tile-hung 1st floor. Large central stack of cruciform
section to cross-wing.
