House. C15 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber-
frame on lias limestone plinth, painted brick infill and plain tiled roof.
Three framed bays aligned east/west with large external brick chimney with
offsets at east gable end; also inserted fireplace to east end of west bay
with brick stack to front of ridge; single storey and attic with dormers.
Framing: cruck-framed, mainly two panels from sill to wall-plate, full cruck
truss exposed at both gable ends. South front elevation: irregular fenestra-
tion; ground floor has two 3-light casements and one 2-light casement with
plank weatherings and a small rectangular light; two gabled dormers with 2-
light casements; main entrance in east end bay has a ledged and battened door;
also stable door in west end bay. Attic light in west gable end. Interior
not inspected but intermediate crucks appear to have been retained. C20 lean-
to extension at west gable end. One of three cruck-framed houses in the village.
