Outbuilding, possibly once a dwelling. Probably C17. Timber-framed with
rendered infill on rubble base with some weatherboarding and corrugated iron
roof. Three framed bays aligned east/west. Partly two levels. Framing:
partly-three panels, partly four panels from sill to wall-plate to accommodate
change in ground levels. Tie-beam truss at west end with decorative lattice
struts; east gable is weatherboarded. There are two square openings and two
loft openings in the south elevation, two stable doors and a loft opening in
the north elevation, two square windows and a lozenge-shaped loft light in
the west end and a doorway in the east end. Interior: roof has a collar and
tie-beam truss with three struts to collar and a V-strut above the collar at
the east end. There are two intermediate tie-beam trusses with raking struts
(one of which is arch-braced) and two tiers of trenched purlins. The panels
are rendered internally.
