kiln attached to west of
- Woodmanton Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, stables and hop kiln. In three parts. Barn: early C18. Timber-frame on
rubble plinth, weatherboarded, plain tile roof hipped to stable range at south.
4 bays with threshing floor in bay north of centre, lean-to on west side.
Stables at right angles to barn attached to kitchen of Woodmanton Farmhouse (qv):
early C19. Rubble with plain tile roof. 2 storeys, about 6 ranges brick
segmentally headed openings. Hop kiln built against north wall of stables:
mid C19, brick with pyramidal slate roof. Square plan. Irregularly bonded
brickwork, one opening: segmental headed door with rectangular fanlight.
Cowl at apex with vane to turn it into wind. Interior retains slatted drying
floor.
