Barn. Possibly 1658. Timber-framing and brick with tile roof. Two storeys. Framed in square panels, mostly replaced by brick on ground floor. On the ground floor are two doorways, with a window to each side of the right-hand one. On the first floor there are two openings. The building originally extended further to the east.
Interior: the west gable truss and the next truss to the east, have tie-beams, collars and raking struts. The next two trusses have principals joined by a collar with V-struts, and raking struts from the jointed heads of the principal posts to a ground floor ceiling beam. The diary of Sir Nicholas Lechmere records the building of a great barn at Severn End in 1658.
