Farmhouse, now dwelling. Probably C17, partly restored c1980. Timber-
frame, sandstone rubble plinth and west gable, brick east gable, slate
roof, formerly thatched, brick end stack to east and another to left of
centre. One storey and attic, three and a half bays, aligned east/west
with eastern bay over cellar. South elevation: mid-C20 2-light casements,
two to right of long lean-to entrance porch, one to left and one in each
of three gabled dormers. Entrance porch has three 2-light mid-C20 casements.
Frame: three panels high from plinth to wall-plate. Interior: principal
ground floor room to east has run-out stop-chamfered beam. Restored dog-
leg stairs with column-on-vase balusters and moulded hand rail occupies
half-bay between east bay and second full bay from east. Hop pocket in
ceiling of second bay from west. First floor rooms either side of land-
ing have ledged late C17 or early C18 doors. Gable trusses have V-struts
above collars supported. by three queen struts. First truss from west end
has principals overlapping at apex.
