Barn. Probably late C17 or early C18 with early C19 extensions. In two
parts. The older part has a sandstone rubble plinth, weatherboarded timber-
frame with sandstone rubble extension to north, stone slate and pantiled
roof. Five plus one bays aligned roughly north/south; west elevation has
ledged door in left of timber-framed weatherboarded part and central ledged
opposed doors to threshing floor. Interior has queen struts from tie to
collar at the junction with the rubble extension; raking strut trusses;
wind-braces to the bays at each side of the threshing floor. The more recent
part, probably early C19, is sandstone rubble with weatherboarded east gable
and Welsh slate roof. Six bays aligned roughly east/west returning westwards
from the southern end of the older part. South elevation has three rows of
vent slits with four and six in each row to left and right of full-height
opposed carty entry; east gable has 12 vent slits continuing the three rows
above a blocked segmental arch centrally placed just above ground level.
Interior has raking strut trusses and plank ridge.
