House. Early C18, possible the recasing of an older building. Red brick
chequered with grey headers. Steep old red tile roof. 2-storeys, 3
windows wide, facing E. Flush-box sashes with 2/2 panes. Low stucco
plinth, modillioned eaves band, gable parapet to N end. 6-panel,
flush-beaded door, top panels glazed, in heavy frame with flat hood on
shaped brackets. Segmental arch to window on right of door: lintel over
twin sash windows to right of door. Wide segmental arch to carriageway
at N end of front with tall double doors and hinged top flap. Large rear
lateral chimney with 2 flues. Front wall chimney at S end of front with
2 flues. Framed notice painted on front wall 'WALTER E SPARY/
WHEELWRIGHT, ETC'.
