Block of 6 houses. Early C18. Timberframed and plastered with
steep old red tile roofs gabled at the ends. A block of 3 pairs
of 2 storeys houses facing S. 1 window to each floor of each
house and paired doors central to each of 3 pairs. Internal
gable chimneys. Heavy old rafter feet project at eaves.
Continuous dripboard over lower windows and doors of each pair.
2-light modern wood casement windows set flush. Lean-to 1
storey extension on W end in similar materials. Inside: squared
axial beams and squared joists. No 6 has a 2-panel early C18
raised and fielded panelled door upstairs. Formerly thatched and
partly weatherboarded. An historic row of early C18 estate
houses. Part of the varied group in this part of the
Conservation Area. Included for group value.
